We strictly collect only the essential data required to facilitate secure barter exchanges. This includes your name, verified phone number, age, gender (optional), and precise geographical coordinates to power our recommendation engine and calculate distance metrics. This data is used exclusively to enhance your experience and is never sold to third parties.
All transactions, user profiles, and chat streams are protected using advanced SSL/TLS transport encryption during transit and at rest. Your data is housed in secure Google Firebase servers under strict role-based access rules, guaranteeing total data separation and protection against unauthorized access.
To protect customer identity and ensure maximal privacy, all chat history and exchanged images are permanently purged from our database records immediately upon complete confirmation of a swap, mutual cancellation, or after 48 hours of total inactivity.
We never share your personal contact details (such as your phone number) automatically with any user. SwapX enables you to explicitly and manually share your contact card only inside approved negotiation chats using the dedicated contact share option.
You have the absolute right to request access to, correction of, or the complete erasure of your personal data from our systems. You may exercise your "right to be forgotten" by deleting your account from the profile settings, which will permanently wipe all associated data.
